SIX Group’s Singapore office, designed and built by Conexus Studio, is a vibrant, flexible workspace that brings together the company’s Swiss roots and global outlook. SIX connects financial market participants across Switzerland, Spain, and globally, providing critical infrastructure, information, and banking services that ensure efficiency, stability, and innovation. The office reflects this high-performance, forward-looking identity, creating a motivating environment that fosters focus, collaboration, and creativity — essential for a firm operating at the forefront of complex global markets.

The design balances functionality, sustainability, and cultural richness to create a human-centric environment that inspires teams. Dynamic space planning maximises the compact floorplate, optimising daylight, circulation, and visual connectivity, while carefully selected materials and finishes combine durability with warmth to give the workspace a distinctive identity.

Designed to Connect and Evolve

Central to the workspace is a large, open town hall and collaboration zone — the beating heart of the office. This flexible, modular space seats approximately 50 people and can host client presentations, workshops, or company gatherings. Mobile step seating ensures adaptability, avoiding the limitations of fixed installations and allowing the space to evolve with changing needs. Meeting rooms and the pantry are strategically positioned to remain visually connected yet private, maximising sightlines and encouraging spontaneous interactions while maintaining focus.

The layout supports a variety of work modes, fostering connection, collaboration, and creativity. This fluid, forward-thinking design accommodates the evolving ways teams work today, while its adaptable zones ensure the office can grow with future needs. Together, these elements reinforce SIX Group’s momentum and ambition, ensuring the workplace remains a catalyst for innovation, engagement, and growth.

Sustainable Design with Biophilic Warmth

Sustainability is at the heart of this project’s ethos. Over 50% of existing furniture was repurposed, and all ceiling features were retained, minimising waste while preserving craftsmanship. By thoughtfully reusing these materials, the design maintains a sense of continuity and comfort, reduces environmental impact, and honours the history embedded in each piece, giving them renewed purpose within a modern context. Subtle biophilic touches — from botanical-inspired accents to carefully placed greenery — bring vitality to the space without overwhelming it. These elements, whether natural or artfully crafted, introduce warmth, soften the interiors, and foster a connection to nature that supports wellbeing and focus.

A Sense of Place Through Cultural Depth

The design thoughtfully integrates Peranakan-inspired patterns alongside bold, hand-drawn sketches of iconic Southeast Asian landmarks, creating a narrative that speaks to the region’s rich cultural identity. This fusion of motifs not only adds vibrant visual interest but also grounds the workspace in a unique local identity that employees can connect with on a personal level. The striking mural — depicting SIX Group’s journey from its Swiss origins to its current global footprint — acts as a powerful storytelling element, bridging past and present and reminding all who enter of the company’s values and vision.

“Conexus Studio has given us more than just an office — they’ve created a space that feels like home and tells our story. The design team proposed practical solutions that met our needs in both function and appearance, while the construction manager made sure safety and compliance were always a priority. From our first conversation to the final handover, the whole process was managed smoothly with clear communication and attention to detail — all delivered on schedule. We now have a workplace that truly represents us and motivates our team every day.”
