Designed for Movement: Lifestyle Office Supports People in Motion

For Samsonite's new Bangkok workplace at Central Park Offices represents a confident step forward in the brand’s ongoing journey of responsibility, innovation, and performance. Delivered as a fast-track Design & Build project within 11 weeks, the 842 sqm office translates Samsonite’s travel and lifestyle ethos into a workplace defined by clarity, performance, and longevity.

Rooted in simplicity, durability, and purposeful movement, the design supports the natural rhythm of the workday – enabling focus, facilitating collaboration, and allowing space for pause. The layout features a central arrival area that leads into distinct north and south zones, each supporting different work rhythms. A restrained palette of whites and soft greys is anchored by Samsonite’s signature blue, forming a visual path through the space, a subtle expression of journey and progression.

Warm timber, planting and nuanced colour accents soften the environment, introducing depth and human scale. Guided by Feng Shui principles and people-first planning, the result is a composed yet dynamic office environment that supports performance, comfort and long-term relevance as the organisation enters its next chapter.

Shaping a Workplace that Moves with Its People

Samsonite’s Thailand team required a workplace that could support daily work, confidentiality and operational efficiency, while reflecting the brand’s global identity and lifestyle positioning. The challenge was to balance openness with discretion, speed with quality, and brand expression with everyday usability, all within a clearly defined timeline and budget.

The vision was not to create a trend-led office, but a workplace built on longevity and practicality. Inspired by Samsonite’s commitment to reliability and responsible design, the office was conceived to be calm, intuitive and adaptable, a space that performs effectively today and remains relevant as the organisation evolves.

A Clear and Purposeful Journey Through the Workday

Designed around intuitive circulation and clarity of use, the layout allows people to move through the space naturally and without friction. By aligning spatial organisation with daily activities, the workplace supports comfort, productivity and long-term usability.

A Welcoming Arrival: A central arrival zone integrates reception and meeting areas into a controlled yet welcoming interface. Guests are received without disrupting core work areas, while separate staff access ensures clarity and security.

A Neighbourhood for Energy and Exchange: Positioned along shared views and daylight, the north zone accommodates open and collaborative work settings. Collaboration areas are positioned at key corners of the floorplate, supported by nearby phone booths and focus rooms for acoustic privacy. The atmosphere is active yet composed — designed for interaction without distraction.

A Neighbourhood for Focus and Stewardship: The south zone is arranged for teams requiring a more focused environment, including operational departments and leadership rooms. The environment is grounded and stable, offering a quieter backdrop for concentrated work and decision-making while maintaining connection to the broader team.

Brand Expression through Simplicity and Sustainability

The material language reflects Samsonite’s identity not through overt branding, but through discipline and thoughtful detailing - prioritizing practicality, reliability and timelessness over temporary trends.

Signature Blue as a Visual Journey: At the main entrance, a gradient blue feature wall creates a bold first impression and firmly anchors the office in Samsonite’s identity. The brand’s blue continues through shared areas and enclosed rooms, forming a subtle visual path inspired by travel and forward momentum.

A Disciplined Material Palette: Durable materials in a white and soft grey tones ground the design in clarity and visual calm, while subtle floor patterns and partition tones gently define departments. Warm timber elements, lush planting, and carefully selected accents of orange, yellow, and teal add depth and comfort — ensuring the minimal palette feels inviting, vibrant, and professional.

Integrating Stability, Wellbeing, and Connection

The workplace is primarily organized around fixed workstations, reinforcing stability and daily operational efficiency. Informal areas support wellbeing, interaction and everyday comfort within a professional setting. This layered planning ensures confidentiality and clarity without compromising openness or collaboration. In addition, lifestyle spaces express Samsonite’s positioning through a sense of ease, balance, and human connection. The result is an office that feels composed yet welcoming — supporting both productivity and personal well-being throughout the day.

Integrated Privacy without Isolation: Enclosed meeting rooms, phone booths and focus rooms are distributed throughout the office to support confidential conversations and focused work. Leadership rooms are positioned within the quieter zone, separated from main circulation areas to maintain discretion while remaining connected to the team.

Pantry as a Social Anchor: Positioned as a central destination, the pantry and café-style space function as a shared hub where teams can gather, recharge and connect between tasks. Its openness encourages spontaneous interaction while remaining visually integrated with the broader office layout. Warm timber finishes, soft seating and residential-style lighting introduce a layer of comfort that contrasts with the structured workstation zones. This shift in atmosphere signals a change of pace, allowing employees to step away mentally while staying within the workplace environment.

Designing with Balance and Belief

Feng Shui principles were integrated into the planning process to enhance spatial harmony and employee comfort. By prioritising a balanced environment, the layout aligns cultural values with modern operational needs.

Softened Geometry and Continuous Flow: To create a more intuitive experience, sharp angles and irregular corners were softened in favour of smooth circulation paths. The use of subtle curved elements in partitions and furniture encourages a natural, unobstructed flow through the office.

Holistic Harmony: The planning emphasizes a "people-first" approach, ensuring that every area of the office feels balanced. This includes maximising access to natural daylight and using a thoughtful mix of materials to create a space that feels stable yet inviting.

A Confident Base for the Next Chapter

Samsonite’s new Thailand office is designed to support how people work today — and how they will work tomorrow. By translating the brand’s spirit of travel into a spatial experience, the workplace encourages focus, connection, and adaptability throughout the day.

“Our office is a physical reflection of our brand vision — purposeful, refined, and thoughtfully designed. Every detail has been translated into the space through a clean and minimal interpretation, ensuring that our identity is expressed consistently from every angle.

From the very first day, we aligned not only on creativity but also on strategic budget re-engineering, proving that strong design and smart business thinking can go hand in hand.”
