When Conexus Studio won the pitch to design and build the new Singapore operations centre for the biggest beverage brewer system makers in the United States, it was no surprise that coffee was an inspiration.

With “perk up!” as a central concept, the design aimed to integrate the lively branding of Keurig Dr Pepper, whilst keeping to the sophisticated lines and detailing of the much-loved Keurig beverage machines.

Alongside the space’s distinctive personality, layout planning of the office and engineering laboratory centered on supporting the connected and collaborative atmosphere, as part of the company’s “One Team” spirit.

Coffee Meets Collaboration

At the heart of the space is an inviting cafe-style breakout area, strategically placed beside the meeting rooms and designed to bring users to easily come together and socialise or collaborate. Flanked by an enviable view of the lush Hort Park, cosy booth seats also allow employees to find their own nook and take a rejuvenating break.

“We recognise that good design is not just about the aesthetics, but also about the wellbeing and connection of the people in an environment. The space planning and biophilic design concept aimed at facilitating interactions and conversations, which creates a sense of community.”
— Aviruth Trungtreechart, Design Director of Conexus Studio

Sociable and Scalable

Optimised for collaboration and productivity, the space plan centered around comfortably-sized open office areas that balanced productivity with visibility, as well as sparked both deliberate and unplanned connections. The flexible layout also included strategies to scale easily in the future, to accommodate the growth of Keurig Singapore’s operations in the region.

“One thing that I found constant across the Conexus team was that high degree of collaboration that we aspired to in our own organisation. They brought great ideas we hadn’t thought about as we contemplated the layout and attributes of the space. In the end, the space speaks for itself in terms of the outcome.”

Robert McGregor, VP Appliances Supply Chain, Keurig Dr Pepper Inc.
