The new APAC headquarters of New York-based cryptocurrency exchange Gemini redefines collaborative, inclusive hybrid workplace design. Designed and built by Conexus Studio, the workspace embodies Gemini’s mission to drive financial inclusion by expanding cryptocurrency access. The fluid open-concept layout fosters organic interactions and collaborations, reflecting Gemini’s values of transparency and creativity. The headquarters serves both as a functional workspace and a launchpad for navigating the rapidly evolving world of digital finance.

Ready for Take-off

Stepping into the reception area, visitors are immersed in Gemini’s pioneering spirit. An infinity mirror featuring an illuminated astronaut suspended in space sets the tone for forward-thinking exploration, symbolising employees as astronauts charting new frontiers. Surrounding this centrepiece are thoughtful design touches such as a brushed metal reception counter, planetary ring lighting, and moon-like wall textures. Together, these elements create a first impression that is both futuristic and grounded in Gemini’s mission of breaking barriers.

Fueling Connections and Innovation

At the heart of the office lies the central work café, a vibrant gathering space designed to spark interaction and foster connections. Anchored by a long communal table and set against the backdrop of a dimensional moon graphic framed by lush plants, it offers a relaxed yet inspiring environment for diverse teams to come together and exchange ideas.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the café is also equipped with projection facilities, transitioning effortlessly into a hybrid meeting space that bridges the gap between Gemini’s regional and global teams.

Where Form Meets Function

The adjacent boardroom strikes a harmonious balance between aesthetics and functionality. A specially crafted backlit acoustic panel depicting the Gemini constellation spans its length, showcasing the brand’s identity while enhancing the room's acoustics. The design mirrors the interconnected nodes of the Bitcoin network, softly illuminating the space while providing noise insulation.

Breaking Down Barriers

The front-of-house opens organically to the back-of-house, creating a welcoming and dynamic work environment filled with natural light. The management’s corner office, with its refreshing lack of walls and inviting lounge area, encourages direct communication and collaboration between employees and leadership.

Workstations, designed for both comfort and productivity, are set against an expansive galaxy-themed graphic, creating a striking visual centerpiece. Accentuating the layout, carefully placed greenery adds privacy while fostering a calming and inspiring atmosphere for employees.
