Baker McKenzie Wong & Leow’s new office in South Beach Tower sets a bold benchmark for workplace design. Designed and built by Conexus Studio, the three-storey modern workspace reflects the firm’s forward-thinking approach to the evolving legal landscape. Every detail is crafted to balance agile and focused legal work with collaboration and wellbeing, complementing the Singapore office’s role as a key hub for Baker McKenzie’s network in Asia.

A fruitful collaboration — Baker McKenzie and Conexus teams congregated at the social lounge to celebrate the stunning office transformation.

An Experience That Reflects Baker McKenzie

From the moment guests arrive, the space conveys warmth, clarity, and confidence. Rich walnut paneling, accented with bronze inlays, draws the eye to a striking avocado quartzite counter. Its deep green tones and natural strength symbolise resilience and vitality. This centerpiece anchors the reception in natural elegance, setting a calm and professional atmosphere.

The reception flows into a social lounge designed for meaningful conversations. Plush leather seating and floor-to-ceiling views of Marina Bay frame an integrated wine bar, creating a convivial environment for celebration and professional exchange. An adjacent suite of meeting rooms creates a seamless transition from social interactions to private discussions.

Timeless design principles are reimagined through contemporary lenses. Art Deco-inspired geometry and fluted finishes add rhythm and texture, while deep red accents — woven into furnishings and finishes — echo Baker McKenzie’s brand palette, subtly reinforcing the firm’s visual identity.

Functional Spaces That Adapt and Empower

Natural light energises the workspace, while modular furniture solutions in the clubhouse — known as The Sidebar — allow the space to be effortlessly adapted for a diverse range of needs, from informal brainstorming sessions to mentoring moments and large-scale corporate gatherings.

Collaboration zones bridge diverse work neighborhoods, encouraging cross-functional teamwork, while focus pods and internal meeting rooms enable deep work in a quiet environment. Every element has been thoughtfully designed to empower people to do their best work, supported by advanced workplace technologies, such as smart ergonomic furniture and state-of-the-art videoconferencing systems.

Wellness at the Heart of Work

Wellness is seamlessly integrated into the design, creating moments of calm and clarity throughout the workday. At the heart of the office, a biophilic indoor garden feature wraps around the central staircase, blending lush greenery with sleek glass and soft lighting from custom skylights. This immersive feature invites pause, reflection and connection at the heart of the office.

Strategically placed next to it, The Sidebar includes a knowledge hub with a serene library area for quiet focus and deep research, while centrally located work cafés on every floor offer cozy seating and inspiring views of Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands. These spaces encourage recharge and inspiration, supporting a balanced and energised work experience.

“Partnering with Conexus Studio has transformed our vision into a living expression of our identity. Our new office beautifully captures both our values and vision — a tangible reflection of who we are and what we stand for. It was designed and built with exceptional quality, marking a significant milestone for Baker McKenzie as we look ahead to the next decade. We truly appreciate the team's professionalism, creativity, and patience throughout this journey.”
